Anne Curtis in hospital after jellyfish sting

MANILA - (2nd UPDATE) Actress Anne Curtis was rushed to a hospital after she was stung by box jellyfish while taping the fantasy series "Dyesebel" on Wednesday night.
In a statement given to ABS-CBN News, "Dyesebel" producer Dreamscape Entertainment Televisione said Curtis was brought to hospitals in San Juan and Lipa in Batangas before she was taken to the St. Luke's Medical Center at the Bonifacio Global City, where she is now confined.
"She's doing fine, may mga tine-take lang siya medications for pain," said Dr. Wency Kiat, Curtis' doctor.
Curtis, according to Dreamscape AdProm Head Eric John Salut, was "writhing in pain" from the sting, but was "even worried yesterday as... na baka ma delay ang taping and siya ang reason."
The actress, Salut added, insisted that she can manage shooting more scenes, even as the crew members already saw her "in agony" from the sting.
"We have yet to receive final word from the medical team as to ilang days she can recover and [until] the rashes and the pain disappear," Salut added. "But as of today Anne Curtis is safe in the hospital under utmost medical care and supervision."
Meanwhile, on her personal Twitter account, Curtis said her doctors are monitoring her status.
"Morning everyone. Just read all your 'Get well soon' messages. Last night was my first time to be stung by a jellyfish, a box jellyfish. Currently in St. Luke's so they can monitor my jellyfish sting/rash & most importantly the rhythm of my heart,” she said.
